The schedule for the 14th annual Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is with us. See below for all the highlights and the full schedule.
The days are growing longer and the lambs are gambolling through the fields. It’s springtime in the northern hemisphere, and for poker players that means only one thing: the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is nearly upon us.
PokerStars’ most popular spring tournament series kicks off next month, for what will be the 14th time. And here’s where you’ll find this year’s schedule.
Over the previous 13 years, there have been more than 11 million tournament entries and prize pools of more than $1.1 billion. Tournament winners have earned more than $170 million.
There is only one direction these numbers can go: upward. And the headline news for this year’s series is that there will be at least another $78.5 million going on the prize pool total.
That’s the guarantee for the 2022 SCOOP, where there are 107 events, each at low, medium and high price points. That means 318 tournaments in all, played out from Sunday May 8 through Wednesday, June 1.
This includes the Main Events, which start on Sunday, May 29 and play through the final four days of the series. The three hold’em Main Event buy-ins are $109, $1,050 and $10,300, and the guarantees are $2.5 million, $4 million and $5 million, respectively.
There is also a PLO Main Event, starting on the same day, and, for the first time, a Women’s Event.

In addition to the hold’em Main Events, a further eight tournaments on the SCOOP schedule have guarantees of $1 million. These include four Sunday Million Special Editions, one of which has a buy-in of only $55, and a Super High Roller, where the buy-in is $25K.
Buy-ins this year start at as little as $2.20, so everybody can get involved. There are also numerous satellite tournaments, allowing entry to some of the bigger events for a fraction of the advertised buy-in.
The majority of events are no limit Texas hold’em, including plenty of bounty tournaments and other familiar favourites. But as ever with SCOOP, there are also events in PLO, PLO8, Razz, Stud, Stud 8, 2-7 Triple Draw, 5-Card NLO8, 5-Card PLO, 5-Card PLO8, 6+ (short deck), 8-Game, Badugi, HORSE, 5-Card Draw, Single Draw and a NLH/PLO mix. There are also some fixed limit games, including hold’em and Omaha hi/lo.
In short, something for everyone.
